Marcus Thomson: Journey To Central Africa

Marcus Thomson teaches our wonderfully popular Introduction to Environmental Portraits course. And when you see some of his work, you'll realise why we're so rapt to have him.

In the course he takes us through a shoot he did with the Mentone Icebergers swimming club down at Mentone beach.

The results are fantastic.

Just after shooting that course Marcus took of to Mozambique (as you do) in search of a new challenge. He embedded himself with the street music scene over there and photographed his way through six weeks of back alleys, dingy clubs and at least one inhabited rubbish heap.

The results are superb.
